Is ketchup on Mac and cheese actually a thing up there?

Me and all my friends put Ketchup on Mac and Cheese as well. Also scrambled eggs.
I always thought it was because us Americans love ketchup, but now I wonder if it’s because Canada is 30 minutes away from where I live.

I wouldn’t say it’s something everyone here does, no.

Weird, I thought it was Americans who were obsessed with ketchup.

A bigger cardinal sin than ketchup or ranch on pizza.

Cross the border here (into Canada) and the convenience stores all carry ketchup-flavored potato chips. They’re everywhere. In the US, you have to go looking for them (if for some reason you actually wanted them, that is).

I forgot about those things. I dislike them and haven’t seen much of them where I live. Then again, as I don’t like them I can’t say I’ve explicitly looked for them so take that with a grain of salt.
Maybe it’s one of those things that places close to the border carry to cater to Americans looking for them. *shrug*

We got them here in the UK, except of course we call them crisps.

False, no Maple Syrup.
